Casey stayed at Hakuba Holiday House:
Staying at Daniel’a home was as convenient as it was enjoyable. The location is hard to beat. It is walkable to the ski slopes, nearby restaurants, and even the bus station. The house was very comfortable, with a spacious living and dining area. The bedrooms had all we needed and the shower was great. Daniel’s home would have been great on its own, but what really made our stay perfect was the help that Daniel offered during our stay. He was a communicative host, incredibly responsive, and more helpful than any other Airbnb host I’ve encountered. I hope to stay at Daniel’s home sometime in the future!

Irene stayed at Hakuba Iwatake Apartments:
Daniel’s apartment was exactly as described. It was large (larger than most accommodation in Japan) and very comfortable. The ensuites were pristine and water pressure was great. The kitchen was clean and had the basics. We very much enjoyed our stay. Daniel went above and beyond - allowing us early check in, booking us restaurant and taxis. Even printing forms for us which we greatly appreciated. A brilliant host.
The Hakuba Valley is famous as a global skiing and snowboarding destination as well as a summer paradise. The number of international guests is increasing year after year and as a result Hakuba is continually improving both in terms of local facilities and accommodation in the area. Alongside the improvements, Hakuba still retains a rustic, country Japanese charm. Most importantly is the mega amounts of powder snow that Hakuba receives every winter and the wonderful clean alpine environment in the summer. Even with increasing tourist numbers, the village is not crowded and the number of people enjoying the mountains is still light compared with other Japan alpine resorts and international ski destinations. With over 10 ski resorts in the Hakuba valley and many lakes and rivers, visitors can explore and experience vast amounts of terrain during their stay.

Hakuba Holiday is owned and operated by Ayako and Daniel Bacon. Ayako and Daniel are full time residents of Hakuba and have been running self-contained accommodation in the Hakuba Valley since September 2007.
